That girl who'll run off into the woods pissed off for some reason only to find herself surrounded by walkers and nowhere to hide but inside a decrepit barn in the middle of some farm miles off from the base of ops. Yep. Pretty much like Sofia in The Walking Dead and come will Daryl Dixon with his sexy crossbow arms. She'll call out to dear old daddy who's sure not to care. ANGST, MAN. ANGST. Heh. She definitely won't be like that all the time, but it'll be easy for the others to dislike her because they'd have to be forced to look for her as they should for every survivor, risking their lives in the process without receiving any form of gratitude on her part. I'd imagine she'd have plenty of enemies who'd rather have her ripped to pieces. She's not completely useless though. She has a thing with darts and throwing knives because she's very much into balloon painting and a little on the rough side as well. Who would have known something lame like that could turn out potentially useful in a zombie apocalypse. She throws that knife hot like a tantrum, too, and won't hold back when she's sufficiently provoked, which doesn't take very long especially when you bring up her family or when there's immediate threat, be it a walker or an actual pissy human being. I think it would be great if she had some form of emotional outlet, a quasi-support system of sorts. These individuals could either be complete friendly types or those who don't give a fuck but will be looking out for her just as much as they do for the others. A bestfriend, acting sister/brother, maybe a mother or father figure, a constant annoyance aside from her father (Atticus), enemies, drinking or smoking buddies (or both), lovers? anything would be nice. I'm fine with all kinds of plots, crazy wild ideas are welcome. I'm sure it'll be fun. I just want to get her out there. -------------- details -------------- She has a bestfriend named Berry (pet name & short for Bartleby, if anyone's interested to take him) who's still somewhere out there. The last time they saw each other was the day before she and Atticus went on a trip. She hasn't heard from him since, and she's going completely bonkers thinking about where the blonde boy could be. In the mean time, she's trying real hard to be more tolerant of people seeing as there really isn't much choice now and she has to have people around her constantly. She doesn't have a problem coming up to people striking up random conversations and she likes to tease and get reactions from them. She's like this infinitely curious child. Very inquisitive but also quite sensitive when it comes to rejection. She's not exactly the most intelligent, but she's not slow either. She's very perceptive, observant and pragmatic. Street-smart, you could say. She's not friendly, but tolerant of other people. She does have the tendency to see the bad in them, because she's gone a bit cynical, but still very hopeful and idealistic, otherwise she wouldn't even bother trying to fix things with her dad. Once she gets into a conversation, she'll definitely be happy to contribute. She's very protective of younger kids, mainly because she wants to feel how it is to have a younger sister or brother and doesn't want to end up like her parents. She can quite unpredictable with her mood swings and is both appreciative (silently) and suspicious of people who are nice to her. She won't readily say thank you, but won't be a dick about it. Close relationships are problematic for her because she doesn't have good examples in her own family, so she's quite unstable when things become even remotely intimate. Also, she hasn't killed a walker yet, so that could be a fun first because when she starts, she'll definitely keep going to the point of actively searching for walkers to kill. She needs someone to teach her how to use a crossbow because it's a quiet and effective killing machine, but maybe a gun that shoots darts would be fantastic, if that's even possible. Hmm, I could definitely see James having a crush on her, but not liking how immature she can be at times. He would definitely flirt with her and he'd also be the first one out there rushing to her rescue whenever she decides to run off. James came to Mater hoping to find something he could protect, something he'd failed at in two occasions since the outbreak hit. She could possibly be that for him. Whether or not she knows exactly how he feels and if she reciprocates is up to you xD

I can see Lydia being pretty annoyed with her at first, but then maybe something could draw them together? Lydia would definitely watch out for her and help her out of situations.

Based on the ic chat we had, I think Devyn will find John quite enigmatic and consider him a trustworthy friend she can turn to at any time. She can be completely oblivious, taking things as they come, mostly selfish and always relating to things in ways that will be relevant to her, soo she and John will probably spend a great deal of time talking with each other just because she thinks John's generous/tolerant enough to accommodate her. Also, Devyn might want insist on tailing John when he goes out on his missions or ranger business, thinking it could be a way to be useful but ends up being a burden? Haha. And if John somehow refuses, she'll take it very badly because she's fucking sensitive like that. I don't know how that could shape their relationship, that is, if John events wants to keep her a friend and take it seriously? DEVYN & JAMES Hm, I really like this idea! Devyn will be suspicious at first, because she never had that feeling of someone looking out for her and will probably ask a lot of questions. She won't make up some ridiculous notions though, and will still be completely flattered nonetheless by James' efforts and will certainly try and return the favor. The danger is she might become too attached to James. And when that happens, she can get very demanding and paranoid thinking she might lose him (James turning into a walker or being too friendly with someone else), which could be a self-fulfilling prophecy with the way she'll be acting--that is, pushing James away by being a complete bitch. Her life's been about transient relationships, hell, even her dad ignores her and her mum hates her, so...yeah. If James shows the slightest hint of sincerity, Devyn will take it very seriously and hold on to it very tightly. Poor kid~ Shall we start a thread? :]

It takes a while for Devyn to warm up to females, especially those older than her but maybe later on they could be like sisters and help each other out, talk about boys and all that. If Lydia has a mean streak, she can socialize Devyn into the whole womanhood thing. I'm thinking about the age gap, you see. Teenagers tend to stick together and be generally wary of adults, but maayyybe they could be smoking buddies or drinking buddies. There. Alcohol's the great equalizer. What do you think? :]

There will probably be a time when Dev will get pissed at Sam for acting like an older sister to her. She tends to go off at inappropriate times and fuss over things that aren't really that big of a deal, so I think that'll also shake Sam's defenses as well. If you've got thread ideas, let's talk about them! /excited to plot :D DEVYN & JAMES First of all, forgive me for being a sucky poster unlike Paulie who shoots posts out of his nostrils or something. I'm only online a few hours! But I'm definitely up for pairing up Dev and James. She's a virgin, way to go. Haha. Not sure how James is going to take that, or how exactly he's going to play it out, but if you want dear Dev to get a clue, make sure you don't stick to teasing or being generally nice. She's quite dense when it comes to romantic/sexual stuff so get ready for a lot of moodswings. When she does feel something, James'll know when she starts wanting to be around him more often and acting on a whim a lot. P.S. Don't worry about cluttering my plot page. I'm a plotwhore

Don't worry about how often you're getting post up lol, I know you'll get to them when you can. As far as Dev being a virgin, I can totally see James taking that in the whole she's something pure in a shit world kind of way lol, we'll just see how it plays out though.
