this is elizabeth "liz" (last name up to you). she is a close family friend with the vicente's and i'd assume with the van marter's as well. she should be the casual girl next door and best friend to john, always trying to keep him focus instead of going out to parties and such. they'd be friends all the way growing up but have a fall out in high school over a little bump in the road where she likes him, he likes a different girl, she asks other dude to prom to get him jealous, he gets pissy. they 'hate' each other then find out they are both in the same college and three of their classes are together and they are both polymer science majors. i'm thinking they are lab partners and he makes her do all the work. she'd probably have hated his bimbo of a girlfriend at the time. they'd bicker plenty and such but that changes when the apocalypse comes. i'm thinking that she wasn't in town for it, i'm thinking that she is from cambridge, england but she visits family out of town. she'd know of mater i think and head for there. she's quite the tomboy i think and would be a really keen shot, probably try and go for being a female deputy if anything (also to show up john). her play by is emma watson. as far as age, at least nineteen. everything else is subject to preferential change.

this is eric (yourchoicemiddlename) vicente. he is the youngest, and overlooked, brother to the closer vicente brothers. he is thirty eight and a former accountant by day/stand up comedian by night. he is a frequent gambler and a former alcoholic. he was always never too close with his older brothers and moved to florida to be the furthest from them possible. he had a wife pregnant with their soon to be baby girl when the outbreak came and he took them to flee, his wife used to be a resident of mater and informed him of how it would be the safest place to go. now he and his wife are traveling there, while she is five months pregnant and the only thing they have to keep them safe on the trip aside from their station wagon is eric's cricket bat. he is by far john's favorite uncle and the one that really taught him a sense of humor. pb is simon pegg
this is lucy ____ vicente (nee' ____). she has been married to eric for fifteen years and after several failed attempts she finally became pregnant. sure, it's a little later in life to be crossing this road with her being thirty eight. she has quite the little bump now and she was getting ready to take her leave from her actual famous comic career (contrast of her husbands hobby, it's actually her job doing major network and venue standup) to start her family. when things turned for the worst she went into panic, wanting to head home to go specifically to her old home in mater, knowing that was the safe place to be. she is heavily adaptable with whatever things you can imagine. seeing john whenever there was a family get together made her want to have a child for so long, she babied him and still does despite his age. pb is tina fey
