Emma here is the oldest of five, and took on the role of mother when her own mother died in childbirth with her youngest sibling. She was raped when she was twenty-three, and because of that she has a five-year-old daughter who she loves dearly. Emma's one of the medical personnel here in Mater, and she was a nurse before all hell broke loose. She's a nice, caring person, and she needs plots of all sorts. Friends are a must, enemies will probably be few, since she's only been here a couple months and doesn't go around trying to make enemies, and lovers are always fun.

Call her Jo, Anne, or Burke, but never Joanne. A con artist, forger, and hustler from Las Vegas, Jo knows how to take care of herself, and has to do so for a long time. Her parents were brutally murdered in front of her when she was ten, and since then she's put up a very thick, strong wall between herself and most people. She got knocked up in high school and has an eleven-year-old son, but she's one of those "you fell off your bike? get up and brush it off, you're fine" mothers; her dad was kind of like that with her. So she's the kind of mother whose kid is fully capable of killing zombies. Jo's independent, doesn't really take orders from people, and brand-spanking-new to Mater, and she's only here because her son wanted to stay. She needs friends, even though she's new so might not have many yet, and she'll probably make enemies 'cause she can tend to clash with people. And lovers are, again, always fun.

A tomboy who only responds to Will, Halden, or Hal. Will has more creativity than she knows what to do with, really, and she loves writing, despite any raised eyebrows she might get from admitting that. She has a short temper, is feisty, and stubborn as a mule. Also a bit of a daredevil, Will is a ranger, and really kind of likes the thrill of being out where it's unprotected. She's more loyal than a dog once you get to know her, though, and she'll fight with tooth and nail for her friends if she has to. So Will could definitely use some friends, and she'll probably have at least one or two enemies, by virtue of often not knowing when to keep her mouth shut. She's kind of like "ha, love is overrated and stupid", but flings could be fun, and any ideas anyone has are more than welcome.
